National Service Scheme (NSS)

National Service Scheme is offered to the students as an alternative to NCC and
ourCollege has ONE NSS unit consists of 96 students The unit is under
the control of a programme officer who is solely responsible for the entire working of
the unit. He/She is guided by the Principal and some senior staff members of the college.


  • As per the instructions of NSS Unit of the University, camps are

    Conduct   in the adopted villages.   Camps of 10 days duration are  usually organized during the month of January and summer vacation. During the camps students organizes a number of programmes with the help of local community and faculty.
  • NSS Volunteers participate in the activities like clean and green, AIDS  Awareness programmes etc.
    Independence Day and Republic Day Celebrations are celebrated in the College every year - in order to instill Patriotism in the students. 

As part of their responsibility as Citizens of the Country, Programmes are conducted in nearby villages by them with the support of the  faculty apart from NSS Volunteers.

Co-Curricula Activities  
November 2014 NAAC Peer Team visit

On 10th and 11th November, 2014 NAAC Peer Team visited our College for Accreditation of our College for the first cycle.  The team consisted of 3 members – A Chairman, A Member Coordinator and a Member. 

The Chairman Prof. P Venkataramaiah, former vice chancellor of Kuvempu University, Karnataka – headed the Accreditation team whereas Prof. J.P. Pachauri, Dean of School of Humanities and Social Sciences, HNB Garhwal University, Garhwal, Srinagar,  Uttarakhand, was coordinator of the Peer team work.  Prof. C.N. Rawal, Principal, BM College of Commerce, Pune, was the third member of the team.

The members of the Peer team have critically examined all aspects of the required study at our College and have offered valuable suggestions.   We are really elated over the value addition given by the Peer team with their suggestions.
